How Do We Get Started?

1. Read my terms and conditions and be sure that you are comfortable with them before we begin.

2. Choose the package and/or supplementary service that is right for your needs.

3.  Fill out the questionnaire, letting me know what payment method you will be using.

4. Wait for project acceptance and an invoice for payment of the deposit for web design services and to set up payment for any monthly services. This will usually take place within 72 hours.

What Do I Need In Place For A New Web Site?

You will need to have a domain registered for your web site and a web hosting account set up before I can begin work on your web site. I recommend NameCheap to register a domain name and Hostgator for your web host. Please ask me if you need any help with either of these steps and I can arrange a short tutorial session to help you set them up.

I Already Have a Web Site, What Do I Need To Do?

I don’t work on existing web sites that are hosted with GoDaddy or other web hosts that do not use a cpanel. However, most other hosts will be fine and I will be happy to work with them. Once your project is in the queue, I will ask you for your domain registrar and web host’s login details, so please keep these handy.

What Platform Do You Use To Create Web Sites?

I use WordPress, chosen for it’s stability, flexibility and ease of content management, meaning that, should you want to, it is easy for you to maintain and add content to your own web site. I use the StudioPress range of premium themes as the base for my designs. These designs have excellent coding that is clean and optimized for the search engines and they work closely with WordPress to ensure that they follow all security best practices for the platform.

What Are Your Business Hours

I don’t have set business hours and work on a flexible basis. That is why email communication is the most effective means to update and progress the project. I aim to respond to all emails within 72 hours maximum, but more usually within 24 – 48 hours.

How Do I Pay You?

I prefer payment in GBP (£) via direct bank transfer. I also accept payment via PayPal. You don’t need a PayPal account to be able to pay me via this method. Once I have your questionnaire and have sent you your invoice for payment of the deposit for full web design projects, or in full for other services, we will be able to schedule an approximate start date. Please bear in mind that this is my estimate based on how long I believe the projects in the queue ahead of you will take and may be subject to change. In some cases, I may need to first schedule a consultation with you before finalising the invoice.  I can also accept payment from local businesses in the form of a cheque or banker’s draft, but the funds will need to clear before I can assign you a place in the queue. Once I have your 50% deposit, or payment in full, depending on the nature of your project, I will assign you a place in the queue.

Can I See Examples Of Web Sites You Have Created?

Yes, I have a selection of recent work available in my Portfolio.
